The
Department of EMIS, National University of Educational Planning and
Administration (NUEPA) is organizing the National Seminar on School
Educational Statistics on March 3-5, 2008. The National Seminar aims at
taking stock of the changes taking place in school education statistics
since 1990 and identifying the emerging requirements and gaps in the
background of initiation of target and indicator oriented reforms to
achieve universal elementary education. The Seminar provides a platform to
discuss several other issues like adequacy, relevance, reliability,
comparability, time lag in the publication and dissemination of data,
diversification of data collection agencies, uses of data, etc.
Academicians, researchers, policy makers and administrators are invited to
contribute a paper for the seminar. For further information and background
